Jasper EV Tech Incorporated has announced a strategic partnership with FasterCapital through its Equitypilot program. This collaboration will accelerate the global commercialization of the patented Jasper System rapid battery-exchange platform. The partnership combines Jasper’s disruptive sub-one-minute battery exchange technology with FasterCapital’s funding and go-to-market expertise. The initial focus will be the rapidly expanding European EV market, specifically France.
The Problem: Long Charging Times and Range Anxiety
Electric vehicle adoption faces three key consumer hurdles: long charging times, persistent range anxiety, and the high initial cost of battery packs. Europe’s EV market is expanding quickly, with millions of new Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) expected by 2030. However, current infrastructure and slow fast-charge limits are hindering mainstream uptake.
The Jasper System is engineered to bypass these limitations. It targets the “skateboard” EV segment by replacing heavy, fixed lithium-ion packs with modular LiFePO4 batteries. These batteries are housed in a manufacturer-licenseable exchange module. This patented design allows for a sub-one-minute, automated battery exchange without the driver ever leaving the vehicle. This solution opens significant market space compared to slow-charging incumbents and existing complex battery-swap trials.
“Jasper EV Tech checks every box we look for—defensible IP, meaningful unit economics, and strong product-market fit,” said Hesham Zreik, Founding Partner, FasterCapital. “Equitypilot will help Jasper move from prototype to European pilots and institutional funding faster and with higher credibility.”
A Safer, Financially Viable Solution
The Jasper System offers a unique combination of technical and financial advantages for the one-minute EV battery exchange:
- Speed and Convenience: Fully automated battery exchange completed in under 60 seconds.
- Safety and Lifecycle: Uses inherently safer and more stable LiFePO4 chemistry.
- Lower Vehicle Cost: Modular design allows for lower upfront vehicle manufacturing costs.
- Monetization: Revenue is generated through per-vehicle licensing (€250 suggested) and per-exchange fees (€2), creating scalable, recurring revenue streams from both infrastructure and intellectual property.
Peter C. Droste Sr., Co-founder and CEO, Jasper EV Tech, commented, “FasterCapital’s partnership validates years of R&D behind the Jasper System. With this support we will finalize prototypes, secure Climate Bond certification and demonstrate rapid battery exchange at scale to overcome range anxiety worldwide.”
Growth Trajectory and Next Steps
Through the Equitypilot program, FasterCapital will provide critical mentorship, product-market validation, and global investor access. This support will fast-track the bond underwriting process and pilot deployments.
Near-term milestones include completing the mobility incubator prototype, securing Climate/Green Bond certification, and launching a France pilot fleet in 2026 with dedicated exchange stations. Jasper EV Tech aims to license module incorporation to OEMs and deploy exchange stations along key European corridors, targeting 10% penetration in new French BEVs as an initial commercial benchmark.
