On October 28, 2025, Edge Energy, a leader in innovative energy solutions, announced a new collaboration with Lincoln Electric to deliver fast, reliable EV charging to locations without access to three-phase power.
The new platform combines Edge Energy’s solid-state digital phase conversion technology with Lincoln Electric’s Velion® 50kW DC Fast Chargers and DC America’s robust EV charging system. The result is a powerful, single-phase 100kW charging solution designed for commercial, industrial, and public applications. Compact and easy to install, the system simplifies deployment and significantly reduces infrastructure costs for site hosts.
“We are excited to work with EdgeEnergy on this innovative solution to bring DC Fast Charging to areas of the county that only have single phase power, but still have a need for high performance reliable DC Fast charging,” said Bruce Chantry, Lincoln Electric’s Vice President of Electric Vehicle Solutions.
Chantry stated in a EVinfo.net interview that the company’s recent move into EV charging is a natural progression, allowing them to leverage their expertise in power systems. Early feedback from customers indicates that Lincoln’s Velion is particularly well-suited for tough industrial environments, praised for its ruggedness and reliability.
“This collaboration represents a significant step forward in our mission to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy solutions,” said Shaun Shuler, CEO of Edge Energy. “By unlocking fast charging in places where it was previously impossible, we’re helping communities and companies embrace the EV transition with greater speed, flexibility, and efficiency.”
Deployments of the Edge Energy charging skid are expected to begin in Q4 2025, with units now open for order.
