Together, these companies will deploy over 30 of ADS-TEC Energy’s battery-buffered fast-charging solutions at Müller locations throughout Germany. These solutions will primarily include ChargePosts and ChargeBoxes.
A Compelling Solution for Retail Group Müller
Retail group Müller provides the locations for these new EV charging stations. Notably, Müller operates approximately 950 stores across eight European countries, with the majority located in Germany. ADS-TEC Energy’s innovative, battery-based fast-charging systems enable ultra-fast charging even where grid capacity is limited. This deployment, therefore, fulfills the legal obligation under the German Act on Electric Mobility Infrastructure in Buildings (GEIG) at Müller locations. Moreover, it creates a future-proof and convenient charging option for customers. With charging capacities of up to 320 kW, these stations offer ultra-fast charging of electric vehicles in a matter of minutes, significantly enhancing customer convenience while they shop.
MVV Manages Implementation and Operation
MVV assumes responsibility for the complete financing, construction, and operation of the charging infrastructure. Additionally, the energy company will manage associated customer service. “We at MVV have been driving forward the mobility transformation since 2018,” explained Ralf Klöpfer, Chief Sales Officer at MVV. “We are gradually expanding the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles throughout the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and beyond. Currently, we operate over 156 locations with more than 440 charging points. Through our partnership with ADS-TEC Energy and Müller, we are bringing innovative fast-charging solutions directly to retail locations. Consequently, this enables our customers to charge their electric vehicles while they shop. This initiative saves time, protects the environment, and makes sustainable mobility even more attractive.“
ADS-TEC Energy to Manage DOOH Advertising Spaces
In a significant new development, ADS-TEC Energy will manage the marketing of digital advertising spaces (Digital Out-of-Home, DOOH). The ChargePost systems feature high-resolution 75-inch screens. Consequently, these screens are ideal for targeted advertising at busy retail locations. This unique integration thus creates additional economic value for the project.
GEIG-Compliant and Economically Attractive
By executing this project, retail group Müller directly fulfills GEIG requirements. This act, for instance, mandates the expansion of charging infrastructure at buildings. This deployment, furthermore, ensures customers have access to convenient, high-performance fast-charging solutions. The combination of high-performance charging systems and integrated digital advertising spaces consequently creates a sustainable, future-proof infrastructure with clear economic benefits.
